It’s finally looking like Summer! I know it’s perpetually summer in sunny Singapore, but what I mean is the burst of vibrant colors, and of course, colorblocking! (which we’re really big fans of, over here in the Flaunt office!)
Just a tip – to avoid looking like the crazy lady that everyone is avoiding on the bus – try colorblocking in colors of the same color family. Like in our dress above – we mixed pinks, coral pinks, corals – so the colors are more palatable. Color clashing works as well, but, well, thread carefully! Just a shade off and you throw the look totally off!

In my opinion, every girl needs a feminine dress like this. It fits like a dream, feels like a dream on the skin, is well, Singapore weather-friendly, and is dressy enough for occasions like wedding luncheons or even dinners.
I’ve always stuck to safer shades in the past, but hey, since it’s summer (when all the colors come out and play), I decided on a lovely lavender shade, as well as a pretty mauve pink. I love colors like mauve pink, or rather, all unclassifiable shades which are a mix of 2 or more colors. It’s somewhat pink, but, yet, not pink. Somehow makes me feel more mysterious than a simple red or blue, don’t you think?
The entire sunny island of Singapore literally turns red every beginning of the year (Lunar New Year) – takes the term ‘painting the town red’ to a whol new level, eh? We thought we’d just join in on that, and here’s my take on that!
A dash of red here and there, will serve to perk up your outfit a bit, without you looking like a big red stop sign! There’s no need to get so literal with wearing red, and it’s nice to just accent your outfit with a bit of red so it really pops.
Here’s me in the shop on Monday!
Wearing Topshop colorblock nautical cardigan, FLAUNT Straps Flounce Tunic in red, Cotton On leggings, and Minnie Mouse watch from Disneyland!
Hope the beginning of the year has been great for you all!
We’re back again with exclusive Flaunt pieces for the Lunar New Year!
Here’s a couple of shots of one of my favorite and most wearable pieces for the festive season!
FLAUNT Sugar & Spice dress
paired with stacked pearl bangles (Forever 21), Brown Leather Boots (Flaunt.cc – sold out), and Pink Satchel (Flaunt.cc – coming soon)
I’m totally digging this gold snakeskin skirt that we launched instore a couple of weeks back, but I actually have no idea what else to match it with other than black.
So I thought I’d dress this outfit down with a basic black slouch tee and just up the ante with the bag.

Lovin’ our new dip dye shorts!
Here’s me doing shop duty a couple of weeks back.
Shorts are great for the shop. You see – it takes a certain level of skill & flexibility to navigate within our claustrophobic shop counter, and it’s tougher to jump across bags of stocks when you’re wearing a dress, or worse, a mini dress.
So yes. Shorts are my weapon of choice.
Here’s me on shop duty the week before. In my new favorite pair of shorts, and a sweater from the store as well.
I love how the shoulder details and the color make the piece look fresher and younger. Knit has a grannying tendency, I feel – so the cold shoulder helped to young it up a bit.
Threw on some pretty rings that I bought while I was on holiday in Taiwan,I think? Can’t quite recall.

Halloween passed not too long ago. Here are some fun pics of friends dressing up! Everyone’s body paint was INSANE! I didn’t feel like dressing up so I stood in the back to hide my tshirt and shorts and tried my best to conjure up a scary face.
Flaunt Lady Boss trying to work Bruce Lee’s nanchuks.
Hope your Halloween was as fun as mine!
DIY-ed the shoulders of my flaunt.cc sweater. There were holes to begin with but I wanted a slouchier look because I have massive deltoids so I made the holes bigger. I also cut holes in my black jeans coz I thought they looked too.. um.. black. Liking how they look so I might get some sandpaper to make more frayed holes in them.
My slouchier look.
Loving the ombre trend!
Happy Shopping Day!
Been really obsessed with this parrot print lately – so much that I wore the dress & the skirt version two days in a row!
These 2 items were launched as part of our Young+Reckless collection, and there are more designs from that collection coming up within the month! These 2 pieces have to be my favorite so far though!
I dressed up the parrot swing skirt here with a plain black tee, and a chiffon drape blazer in cobalt blue which matches the turquoise of the parrots perfectly.
Skirt & Blazer, available on Flaunt.cc.
Bag & ring, coming soon to Flaunt.cc.
